Protocol withdrawal, DEX exit and queue behaviour

Separate the protocol withdrawal path from a market exit, then read the queue risk.

What this is

The published material says there are two ways to leave a uPLS position. A protocol withdrawal can burn uPLS. It can redeem uPLS under the protocol rules. A DEX exit is a market trade of uPLS for PLS. These actions have different conditions.

Use the protocol path. Or trade uPLS on a DEX. These exits are not the same.

What each path can do

The protocol path follows its smart-contract logic. It follows available liquidity. The DEX path uses the market exchange rate. It is the rate in that market. Selling uPLS on a DEX means leaving the ValidatorX position described by the published overview.

Protocol withdrawal follows the rules. A DEX exit uses a market price.

What the queue can change

If there is not enough liquid PLS for a protocol exit, the published material describes a validator withdrawal path. That path can depend on validator exits. It can depend on network conditions, liquidity, gas and a queue. No lesson can promise when an exit will end. No lesson can promise a DEX price.

A queue can slow a protocol exit. A DEX price can differ from the protocol rate.
